You set your own rates and terms.
signpost does not add any commission, markup, or additional fees on top of your rates. What you quote is what the requester pays. signpost receives a separate $15 booking fee from the requester to support the costs of running this site, but we do not charge any further fees.
Requesters find you two ways.
Through the interpreter directory (filtered by language, specialization, location, credentials) or through a Deaf client's preferred interpreter list.
Responding is fast.
When you receive an inquiry, you respond with your rate profile and availability in a couple clicks.
After confirmation, you get the context you need.
Job details, communication preferences, and sometimes a video from the Deaf client explaining the assignment. If anything is missing from the initial job details, easily request more information directly. No need to wait for an agency to relay your questions.
You invoice however you prefer.
Use your own invoicing tools, or use signpost's free invoice feature. Either way, this is your client relationship. signpost invoicing is offered purely as a convenience.
You get paid directly.
The requester pays you directly, to your payment method of choice.
